WILDEN APPLICATION GUIDE
WILDEN Pumps for Corrugated Packaging and Glue
Packaging lines need reliable glue availability through production stops and restarts. Starch adhesive that remains in a pump can thicken or harden, so the operating plan should address shutdown duration and cleaning before the next run. Viscosity must be measured under the conditions the pump actually sees.

Typical transfer duty
Starch-based glue and compatible packaging adhesives
Glue preparation → Transfer circulation → Corrugator supply
What to evaluate
WILDEN identifies Pro-Flo SHIFT and Chem-Fuse options for packaging duties. Review the compatible pump and diaphragm combination where product accumulation around an outer piston affects maintenance.

Selection checklist
Record adhesive solids and viscosity
Plan flush or cleaning steps for shutdowns
Check suction restrictions and supply consistency
Operating boundary
Do not select a pump from the line average alone. Compare peak demand, standby periods and the cleaning fluid with the limits of the complete wetted assembly.
Maintenance and spare parts
Keep the complete WILDEN model code, installed diaphragm material and air distribution system in the maintenance record. Confirm air-kit and wet-kit compatibility separately. Follow the model-specific engineering, operation and maintenance manual for isolation, inspection, fastener torque and reassembly; a generic parts list is not a repair procedure.
Discuss your application
Send the fluid composition, concentration, temperature, viscosity, solids information, target flow, backpressure, suction conditions and available air supply. These details allow a meaningful configuration review and a matching spare-parts recommendation.
